Development of survey, profile, vacancy announcement, and search site

July 15
Board President announces Superintendent retirement and search process to the community

July 31
Superintendent search survey distributed to staff, parents, and community

August 18
Superintendent search survey deadline

August 19 Board Meeting
Board appoints screening consultants and reviews survey results, profile, and announcement

August 27
Vacancy announcement released and job vacancy posted

October 10
Candidate application deadline

Week of October 13
Consultants interview and screen selected candidates

October 21 Board Meeting (Closed Session)
Consultants review candidate pool and recommended finalists

Week of November 3 (Special Meetings)
First round Board interviews (special meetings tentatively scheduled for November 5 and 6)

Week of November 10 (Special Meeting)
Second round Board interviews (special meeting tentatively scheduled for November 12)

November 18 Board Meeting (Closed Session)
Board decision and contract offer to selected candidate

Week of December 1
Superintendent contract finalized

December 16 Board Meeting
Board formally hires the new superintendent

New superintendent officially begins duties
