Dear 5th and 6th Grade Parents:

As part of our 5th and 6th grade Health Growth and Development curriculum, presenters from Candor Health (formerly Robert Crown) will be joining us on Friday, April 18, 2025. Below is the information provided by Candor Health.

5th grade will receive a Puberty I presentation. Class topics include eight physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty, including changes to the reproductive system, male and female anatomy, and harassment and sexual harassment are introduced and defined using age appropriate scenarios. A link to all class standards and objectives can be found on the Candor Health website.

6th grade will receive a Human Reproduction and Embryology Presentation. Program topics include a review of the physical and emotional changes that happen during puberty, female and male reproductive systems, the menstrual cycle of the female reproductive system, erection and ejaculation of the male reproductive system, embryology and the process of labor.

Please be advised that this is your advance notice to parents, and if you would not like your child to participate, s/he will not be required to do so if the parent/guardian submits a written objection to Principal Marcinkewicz.
