For the sixteenth consecutive year, students at Concord Elementary School will be participating in an optional fundraiser for the American Heart Association called the Kids Heart Challenge.
If the students choose to participate, they have two options for raising money. First, they can ask friends and family for donations in the form of cash or checks (made payable to the American Heart Association). Even easier, however, is to join the Concord Elementary School team online and send out e-mails to family and friends. This allows people from across the globe to donate online using their credit card and eliminating the need for students to handle money at all. To sign up online, just visit Concord Elementary's page for the Kids Heart Challenge. We would like to stress the importance that students should not be going from door-to-door asking for donations from strangers.
The celebratory event for the fundraiser will be held during the students’ physical education time on Friday, February 21 and will include a variety of jump rope games and activities. The collection dates for any students turning in cash or checks is between February 10 and February 27 and should be turned in to Mr. Kirchen or Mr. Damrow in the designated Kids Heart Challenge envelope. Online donations are live now.
